Gong Bath – Deep relaxation sound journey with Chrys Blanchard

Upstairs at the Chapel

Friday 3rd May 2019, 4-5.30pm / 7.30-9.30pm

Nature is bursting with potential. Reach out for what you want – everything is possible

With rejuvenating sound waves that still the mind, soothe the spirit and take you to the peaceful realms of your deepest self where healing and transformation occurs. The vibrations positively affect the nervous system by slowing respiratory, brain and heart rates, reducing stress and restoring balance and wellbeing.

In a gong bath, you will be asked to bring a mat, a blanket and comfortable clothing. As you relax into the space, sound frequencies are used to help you go into a state of meditation and soothe you on a cellular level. Gongs are powerful instruments of change that resonate through your body like a massage. Soothing and detoxifying the effects should last for several days after the session.

Chrys Blanchard has lead workshops, composed music and lead choirs for 42 years. She creates and directs a number of projects for education, theatre and community as well as running a sound-healing workshop in Abergavenny’s Nevill Hall Hospital for the last 7 years.

Two sessions to choose from 4-5.30pm / 7.30-9pm
