Celebrating the book as contemporary art...

Unique, one-off pieces, small multiples and framed original designs. All work is made or conceived by artists; fine artists, book artists, illustrators, typographers, writers, poets, book binders and printers, who may work collaboratively or alone. Formats and making methods vary enormously, including book art by embroiderers and ceramic artists.

Many artists’ books are self published or produced by small presses, such as Old Stile Press (one of the few remaining private presses in Wales), or artists’ groups, usually in limited editions.

Over the last 4 years, Unfolding has evolved through our personal selection into an exciting, vibrant and diverse annual event.
