A unique house for art, The Art Shop is housed in a renovated 16th Century building in the heart of the old market town of Abergavenny, with all the original wood and flagstone floors, lime plastered walls, beams and Victorian shop fittings.
The ground floor stocks an extensive range of the finest artists’ materials, drawing equipment and specialist papers, for the professional or student at competitive prices. We have carefully selected art books for the adult and creative child.
Collections of ceramics, textiles, book art, jewellery, sculpture, printmaking and paintings are displayed on the first floor, along with a regularly changing programme of exhibitions, inspiring talks, events and workshops. We have been in business for the last ten years and our friendly and informed staff, all with art backgrounds, are always on-hand to offer help and advice.
