William Brown, the fearless, uncompromising maker of paintings, drawings, silkscreen, lino and wood cut prints. These are full of metaphor and magical legends, the Venus of Blaengwynfi, allegorical beasts, the Mari Lwyd, the Welsh Valley and of course his iconic bear. There is a sense of theatre, humour and great tenderness in the work.

With the kind permission of William’s widow, we have access to his lino and wood cuts. This has resulted in a wonderful run of new relief prints, editioned by master printer, Pete Williams, all numbered and authenticated. There still remains a small body of prints, signed, numbered and dated by William himself – quite rare and collectable.
