Weave a stylish and traditional ‘Hen Nesting Basket’, a wonderful vessel for shopping, gathering and collecting eggs.
You will begin with a series of hoops, pre-made and set, joining them together with simple weaving techniques. Then you will go on to add ribs and different colour willows to create a decorative and beautifully shaped basket for you to take home.
Amanda from Wyldwood Willow is a local basketmaker near Usk and has over 25 years of experience weaving with willow and hedgerow materials and fibres. She will guide you through this process during the course of the day and will provide all tools and materials for you to use.
