‘I make pots that are designed to be used in the home, a celebration and enhancement of the table. When I started making pots it didn’t take long for me to realise that I had a true passion for traditional slipware pots, especially old, functional country pottery. I wanted to create shapes that have roots in historic pottery, and pots that have contemporary uses in today’s home, whilst being beautifully decorated with warm honey colours and rich black toffee-like glazes.

I’ve been making hand thrown pots for almost 20 years and am just as enthusiastic now as I was when I began this journey. I’ve spent most of my career as a potter and manager at the historic Winchcombe Pottery in rural Gloucestershire UK 2012 – 2024. Winchcombe gave me the extensive skills needed to become a production potter, and has taught me the discipline I sought, which I have paid forward to the many employees and apprentices who came to work and train with me during those years.

The pots that I create in my workshop at home allow me to introduce the excitement, colour, and finish that I really enjoy seeing in ceramics.’
