Botanical Alphabet – Embroidery Masterclass with Adriana Torres

Upstairs at the Chapel

Friday 7th June 2024, 10am - 4pm

A unique opportunity to learn creative embroidery techniques in this masterclass with Argentinian artist, illustrator and founder of Miga de Pan, Adriana Torres.

This personalised workshop will explore Adriana’s own design of hand embroidery A-Z floral lettering.

Each student will be able to learn stitches from Adriana’s folio of samplers. From the most popular to the most difficult and unknown. You will also learn to combine different thicknesses and amounts of strands according to each stitch. This way of working gives to the embroidery an aesthetic rich in textures and strong aspect of simplicity, which is the style that characterizes the work of Adriana. Not only will you learn all the techniques from how to thread the needle to how to embroider knotless, which stitches go better with wool or cotton, but students will work on a previously silkscreened fabric, which makes the task much more pleasant.

Each workshop is a complete class and is suitable for all, from beginners to experienced stitchers who wish to take their needlework to the next level.
