AUTOMATA . FLAGS.  MACHINES . DRAWINGS . PRINTMAKING . JEWELLERY

Works spangling with magical realism moving from darkness to enchanting luminosity, all weirdly intertwined.

Alexis Snell originally came to us on a residency in 2003 after a Fine Art Printmaking degree at Cardiff. Since then she has worked with poets, writers and publishers (Anderson Press, Chicken House and Harvill Secker), more recently working on a commission for the
V & A Museum to design and make a ‘cabinet of curiosities’ which is now cast in bronze and on show in the British Galleries.
Rachel Larkins graduated with an MA in Sequential Design/ Illustration in 2013 following an early training in Textile Art. She has been making automata, figurative sculptures and jewellery inspired by folklore and fairy tales for almost 20 years. Diverse past clients include Hove Museum & Art Gallery, musician PJ Harvey, footwear design company Jeffery West of London and Tait & Style of Orkney.
